Role description
Job Duties:
- Correct and improve ETL & Reporting Processes already implemented in the Production Environment while developing ETL processes to generate data from different sources to new sources transforming the information needed.
- Participate in gathering technical requirements within DB and BI areas to create and formulate technical solutions, designs, etc, behind real-time marketing campaign efforts extracting, transforming and loading data into and from Oracle DBs with Informatica PowerCenter.
- Gather, analyze and document business requirements within Agile environments while collaborating in the analysis of data requirements to support the execution of several new marketing campaign, documentation of technical requirements and implementation of solution.
- Communicate and interact on a regular basis with the project manager and development team during different stages of the project; document product and user journeys/flows.
- Understand technical aspects (architecture, infrastructure, and information security) regarding various applications that support numerous business areas within the client.
- Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to gather functional requirements by conducting detailed interviews with management, end users, and business unit stakeholders.
- Provide updates and project status reports when necessary to management.
Education & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- 3-5+ years’ experience on analyzing data requirements, defining ETL processes and data modeling
- Experience implementing ETL solutions with Informatica PowerCenter and Tableau
- Experience with Programming tools such as SQL, Java SE, Maven, Hibernate, Spring MVC, Git, Spring core, Spring Data, Apache CXF
- Previous experience with R, Python, PL/SQL scripting
- Experience with Oracle databases is required
- Must have experience with Big Data, datawarehouse and/or database management systems: Impala, Hive, Hbase, Map-Reduce Jobs, Cloudera CDH5
- Prior experience with web development using JSP, JavaScript, HTML5, Angular.js, D3.js, JSF, Web Services, EJB, WebLogic
