Solutions Architect

Role description

The Solutions Architect will drive operational strategies and plans for Digital business unit and will be managing strategic Commercial Banking Architecture platforms, apps, and systems. This person will communicate with Sr. leadership influencing business decision making and ensure compliance with the organization's technology standards. Work with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements of various applications. The ideal person for this role can participate in planning, technical design & blueprinting, roadmapping, and stakeholder management within ePMO and Enterprise Architectural settings for innovative digital solution development.


Job Duties:

  • Perform comprehensive discovery analysis and definition of client issues and documents implementation of a technical ("blueprint") solutions for systems/platform/cloud integrations.
  • Collaborate with the relevant Tech supporting teams (e.g. Digital channels, Information Security, infrastructure engineering, APIs and data development teams) to validate the solution and drive the execution of the corresponding deliverables within the defined timelines.
  • Work with the Enterprise Architecture team on systems design and implementation, helping to grow and develop the current retail business processes and technology implementations.
  • Serve as liaison between Business Units/Commercial Banking IT during design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance phases of the product life cycle.
  • Determine how products and services could be designed or modified to suit the commercial banking needs while serving as liaison between Business Units and Commercial Banking IT.
  • Ensure that the business and IT are in alignment by linking the business strategy, and processes to IT strategy, and documents this using architectural models or views that show how the company's current and future IT needs will be met in an efficient, sustainable, and agile manner.
  • Create and manage the Architectural framework plan (milestones and deliverables) and ensure alignment with the overall program plan.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Manage relationships with key business partners and managers within each business segments.


Education & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • 6+ years’ experience in Solutions and/or Enterprise Architecture roles in Digital Finance/Banking
  • Knowledge of key architectural integration components is a must (application/back-end development, API design/configurations/development, and Cloud)
  • Must have banking experience (Customer Authentication, Payments, Billpay, monetary movements, Zelle, FundNow, TransferNow)
  • Experience in Agile environments (ideally Agile transformations) and Waterfall methodology


Plus:

  • Previous experience with Cybersecurity concepts: MFA, best practices, encryption standards, device biometrics, security risk assessments is preferred
  • Experience with Consumer Online Banking - browser and native apps is desired
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is desired but not mandatory for this role.

Responsibilities:

·        Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application SW and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.

·        Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.

·        Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies and write custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.

·        Install and configure operating systems, software, and hardware components, and leverage IT staff for routine tasks by clearly documenting design, maintenance, and support procedures.

·        Collaborate with clients, vendors, management and information technology (IT) staff during the creation and maintenance of systems.

·        Create control features to ensure systems effectively meet the organization’s quality standards.

·        Identify potential issues and implement solutions proactively

·        Must have proven success in cloud computing (Microsoft Azure)

·        Experience in virtual environments (VMware)

·        Ability to manage Veeam/Zertos backup tools and ITSM solutions

·        Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)

The System Administrator will design, install, support, and repair technological tools and equipment either at client sites or remotely. The ideal person can ensure the capacity and availability obligations of corporate computing systems are met. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of systems management, maintenance, and performance. Monitors system and Windows Server/VMware performance and installs new software releases and system upgrades. Evaluates and installs patches while resolving computing systems related problems and performing systems backup and recovery.

 

Responsibilities:

·        Participate in key process improvements as they relate to the IT Operations environment to design, install, support, and repair technological tools and equipment (remote/on-site).

·        Collaborate with server administration, network security, business application, and database administration groups to ensure availability of corporate systems to meet business demands.

·        Check help desk database for entries on IT Operations issues; prioritize and respond to help desk tickets as appropriate in addition to serving as cornerstone for escalating IT Operation issues.

·        Define and perform server backups and recovery procedures.

·        Plan and implement software upgrades, maintenance fixes, and vendor-supplied patches.

·        Monitor and test systems’ performance and provide performance statistics and reports.

·        Ensure that scheduled jobs are executed as defined and perform manual job execution as needed.

·        Analyze day-to-day functions and processes of server and database resources to ensure they are performing within predetermined guidelines, limits, and specifications.

·        Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in production systems across the organization.

·        Recommend and execute modifications to systems environment in order to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.

·        Develop maintenance schedules for network and systems equipment including system updates and upgrades while coordinating deployment of software updates into production environments.

Requirements:

Plus:
