Mobile Application Owner

Role description

The Mobile App Owner will play a pivotal role in managing code releases, monitoring mobile application platform health, troubleshooting technical incidents when needed and working with IT Product's DevOps engineer teams and Service Managers to the platform's release management, production stability and suitable technical performance. This highly technical role is responsible for understanding, influencing and enabling the business strategy by deploying the relevant digital technologies. The role is accountable to the Sr. Tech Lead of their Digital workstream, with specific focus on Mobile capabilities across Sales and Service. Deliver and maintain capabilities to enhance customer experience and satisfaction is key. The ideal person has a strong technical engineering background within Android and iOS environments and exceptional leadership to drive the success of Digital initiatives.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Digital Product Managers to design and implement customer-centric experiences, aligning them with overarching business strategies.
  • Be accountable to the Sr. Tech Lead for the Digital workstream, concentrating on Mobile capabilities within Sales and Service, Payments division and support the implementation of the solutions that DevOps Engineers design.
  • Drive the delivery and maintenance of capabilities to elevate customer experience and satisfaction, ensuring they align with the digital transformation vision.
  • Foster robust relationships with Digital Product Managers and Owners, promoting customer satisfaction and facilitating growth.
  • Review code packages, manage technical incidents, offer application and production environment troubleshooting and work with cross-functional teams to close the communication gaps between technology and business teams. 
  • Enable build of automated deployments and automate the code release processes implementing specific automation tasks.
  • Implement changes within AWS platform to continuously deploy and integrate new solutions and perform system upgrades; and complete fixes within the production environment.
  • Act as a liaison between business and IT leaders, local Technology teams, corporate development teams,  and vendors, steering delivery, decision-making, and mitigating risks and issues.
  • Ensure implementation of all necessary risk and security measures for the Digital Channels workstream within Agile Delivery workstream structure.

Requirements:

  •  Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Must be bilingual in English & Spanish (written, verbal)
  • 5+ years’ of experience, demonstrating a substantial technical background in banking or financial servicing specifically within digital payment solutions
  • 3-5+ years’ experience within SW Engineering (C++, Java, Objective-C, Swift, and/or JavaScript)
  • 1-2+ years’ experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud environments
  • Understanding of 3rd party API definition, development, and integration
  • Proven experience advancing the use of CI/CD using tools like Figma, Confluence, JIRA, Jenkins
  • Proven track record in building, defining, and evolving Digital technical stack definitions to support capabilities in Financial Services or regulated spaces
